Hey, y'all! Welcome to our blog.

Just some short and sweet housekeeping before we get into it.

What will you see in the posts? Right now, a little bit of everything Giselle & Erik. It may be a short story from a recent live music performance, or some tips and tricks we've learned over the years, or simply something we're excited to share with you. Let us know if you like what you see, or if you would like to see more of something.

And now for the good stuff!

While we're confident that some of you know us very well, we wanted to use our first blog post to introduce ourselves with "3 Things You May Not Know About Giselle & Erik."

1. Our first live performance as a duo was at Downtown Wine & Cheese in Gainesville, FL in Summer 2018.

It was summer in Gainesville, which meant our live music got rained out during the first set...but after one of our friends snapped a picture.

(Giselle) "Erik was driving a 1997 Miata to the gig that night, which I didn't know when I had asked in advance for a ride home from the gig. I still remember how surprised I was that we managed to fit ourselves, a guitar, and the rest of our equipment in that tiny car."

2. We're both finishing up our Master's degrees.

We both graduated from the University of Florida with our undergrad degrees, and now we're back at UF finishing up our Master's degrees.

(Giselle) "I'll graduate in Summer 2021 with a Master of Entrepreneurship."

(Erik) "And I'll graduate in Spring 2022 with a Master in Music and a concentration in Jazz Studies."

3. And for some of our best news yet...we're engaged!

The whole “on and off the stage thing” is true. Even if you’ve seen us perform live or heard some of our original songs and stories, you may not have heard this news because it just happened on February 15, 2021...at Paynes Prairie, Erik kneeling in the mud, at 12:30 AM. But that's a whole other story...or blog post.
